HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT RULES
Hazardous Waste means any waste which by reason of characteristics such as physical, chemical, biological, reactive, toxic, flammable, explosive or corrosive, causes danger or is likely to cause danger to health or environment, whether alone or in contact with other wastes or substances.
Hazardous Waste Management rules have been enforced for safe handling, collection, reception, treatment, transport, storage, reuse, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, utilisation including co-processing and disposal of hazardous wastes generated.
HAZARDOUS WASTE AUTHORIZATION
Hazardous Waste authorisation means permission for generation, handling, collection, reception, treatment, transport, storage, reuse, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, utilisation including co-processing and disposal of hazardous wastes.
ANNUAL RETURN HAZARDOUS WASTE
The annual return for Hazardous Waste shall contain information regarding quantity waste generated/ stored/ recycled/ processes/ utilize or disposed per annum and shall submit the same to the State Pollution Control Board/ Pollution Control Committee in Form 4, on or before the 30th June of every year following the financial year to which that return relates.
Complete filing of Hazardous Waste Authorization in accordance with Hazardous Waste Management Rules
Filing of Application for Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate for Industrial Sector as applicable
Filing of Annual Report for Hazardous Waste to the concerned Pollution Control Board and assistance in maintaining its record
Providing guidance for handling storage of Hazardous Waste and agreement with authorized agency for disposal of waste generated
