HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT RULES
Hazardous Waste means any waste which by reason of characteristics such as physical, chemical, biological, reactive, toxic, flammable, explosive or corrosive, causes danger or is likely to cause danger to health or environment, whether alone or in contact with other wastes or substances.
Hazardous Waste Management rules have been enforced for safe handling, collection, reception, treatment, transport, storage, reuse, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, utilisation including co-processing and disposal of hazardous wastes generated.
ANNUAL RETURN HAZARDOUS WASTE
According to Hazardous Waste Management Rules, every occupier of the facility who is engaged in handling, generation, collection, storage, packaging, transportation, use, treatment, processing, recycling, recovery, pre-processing, co-processing, utilisation, offering for sale, transfer or disposal of the hazardous or operator of Hazardous waste treatment facility shall submit an Annual Return.
The annual return shall contain information regarding quantity waste generated/ stored/ recycled/ processes/ utilize or disposed per annum and shall submit the same to the State Pollution Control Board/ Pollution Control Committee in Form 4, on or before the 30th June of every year following the financial year to which that return relates.
The industries that have to comply with Hazardous waste management rules are required to submit an annual return every year with the details of the quantity and nature of waste generation and disposal with certain more technical details in Form 4 to the authorities in Delhi NCR (Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad & Gurgaon) region.

Filing of Annual Report for Hazardous Waste to the concerned Pollution Control Board and assistance in maintaining its record
